Dr. Laura Hauser melds the art and science of coaching leaders and teams in organizations. Laura wears multiple hats as masterful coach, consultant, mentor, author, educator, social scientist, conference speaker, and business owner. After working 18 years internally for large corporations, she founded Leadership Strategies International (LSI) in 1993. Laura is known for her ability to help executives leverage their leadership strengths and engage teams to pragmatically accomplish critical business objectives in today’s highly fluid and changing business environments. She has had the good fortune to serve exceptional clients such as Sony Computer Entertainment America, Viacom, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, Nestlé USA, Tyson Foods, Bacardi BV, Impress USA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Johnson & Johnson, CareFusion, and others in both the USA and Europe.
Wearing her researcher and educator hat, she more recently published her ground breaking empirical research on coaching teams. The result is a new model called Shape-Shifting featured in the July 2014 special edition of the Journal of Psychological Issues in Organizational Culture. She was sought after by the ICF to serve as a featured speaker to convene a new conversation about team coaching where she shared her latest research and practical application at The Conference Board’s Executive Conference held in New York City.
Laura wears the hat of associate faculty for Fielding Graduate University’s graduate-level coaching program and for Royal Roads University (Victoria, Canada). She holds a master’s degree in organization development through Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Often referred to as Dr. Laura, she earned her Ph.D. in human and organization systems through Fielding Graduate University (Santa Barbara, California). She is credentialed as a certified coach by the International Coach Federation. She enjoys collaborating with a global network of world-class coaches and consultants on independent and shared projects.
Laura has also served in volunteer leadership roles for decades. For example, she was appointed Commissioner for the City of Santa Clarita where she positively impacted the quality of life for over 175,000 citizens. Laura and her husband, Dave live in the Los Angeles area.
